Control interfaces

TSL control panels give you solutions to niche problems in a simplified way, allowing control of external devices from the button panels without having to go via a control system. It’s direct control. They have their own logical functions and GPIO. Plus, they have a wide variety of comms mechanisms that can talk of over IP, over serial and over GPIO.

With a small footprint and big performance, the panels can control any GPIO, IP, RS422, or RS232 enabled device, located anywhere, with a single button push.

All of the different form factors can perform simple or complex functions and are perfect for flyaway kits, small production tasks and one-button applications, powered with Power over Ethernet (PoE) (some models) or an external power supply. They can be a self-contained mini-control system or part of a larger control system, you choose.

Not to mention, the TSL TallyMan Virtual Panel (TMVP) is an incredibly powerful addition to the TallyMan control system. The fully customisable user interface brings signal flow management, monitoring and device management to users in an intuitive control surface, enhancing operational workflow to bring flexibility to outside broadcast and transmission facilities throughout the world.

Once unsolvable niche control problems can now be solved by embracing simplified control interfaces. Unlock the full potential of your broadcast opportunities to reduce the overall cost and complexity of your workflows and operations. TSL's control interfaces can quickly and cost-effectively get the job done.

Use Case: TSL and GENTEC deliver reliable broadcast control for the Saudi Broadcasting Authority (SBA)

For the first time in Saudi TV history, this outside broadcast project took place within the local market rather than outsourcing from EU-based distributors. The project was led by TSL and System integrator, GENTEC, and resulted in a 45% reduction in the project costs.

Deploying an independent control system allows SBA operators to manage solutions from various manufacturers without limitation, providing them with the opportunity to choose best-of-breed products.

TSL’s virtual panels ‘overlay’ these systems to provide a powerful and easy-to-operate visual representation of complex routing systems, signal flows, device control, tallies or technical information displays.

In addition to virtual device triggers, TSL’s virtual panels provide granular control of device functions, allowing SBA engineers to build intricate power controls that suit specific operations.

The ability to view and control tally functions over an IP network, located anywhere is especially beneficial for SBA during live sport production, as it speeds up set-up and operator workflow.

Thanks to TSL’s revolutionary solutions, we can have all tally signals managed through a single unit on each OB truck. The integration and installation process was seamless, and TSL has been a huge support along the way.”
